Hello new members of BA! I am Belias (formally Velius), your local Co-Administrator. I am from the U.S.A., the mid-west more specially and am online every day if you ever have any issues.
A little Bleach Asylum history first.
BA was first started in June 2007 by spacecat, made up of many members from the dying bleachforums.com. We grew very fast over the years getting over 3,000,000 posts, over 20,000 threads and over 30,000 members. In January 2013, we suffered a database crash, that we could not recover from. We had to completely start over in March 2013, now with Unicorn in charge of the forums. We have been steadily growing since then, trying to get back to what we once were...
The rest of this post will act as a "Getting Started" tutorial of sorts for the forums. It is recommended that new members give the steps a try.
Been lurking for a while and want to join? Good news, approval to post is no longer needed, for now. With no recent issues with bots, there is no current need for moderation for new users. All you need to do is confirm your email and you are good to go. This can be turned on again in about 5 seconds, if needed.
Once your account is active, take a quick look at our Forum FAQ thread to see the size restriction for avatars and signatures, along with other useful information. Size restrictions include text as well.
Now that you are thinking about posting, it would be a good idea to check out our Forum Rules thread first. These rules are easy to learn and many are just simple common sense. The rules encompass the entire forums. If you have any questions about these rules, you may PM either myself or Unicorn.
Since you've been posting a bit here and there, you may want to join a Bleach Fan Club or two. Be sure to first check out the Fan Club Rules first. You may join as many fan clubs as you want, simply by requesting it. There are many different type of Bleach and non-Bleach. If one doesn't exist, feel free to follow the steps located in the rules, to create a new fan club and get approval for it.
You are on your way to being a contributing member of BA! Of course there are more ways to receive even more recognition like winning the POTM contest or becoming a Contributor! Give them a try if you think you are up to it!
