Early preview:

I am amazed to see how beautiful the animation is. Just looking at the basic characters interaction animations feel so detailed.

It's the closest thing manga coming into life...

I have actually read this manga; it should be three volumes long. There is something about its simple and bizarre concept that's scary on a level not comparable to any other horror story I've read/watched. I vaguely remember some panels and storylines, even though I'd rather not remember them at all for just how creepy they look.

I've heard that the second episode has artwork and animation that don't live up to the high standard set by the first episode, but that the animators still wanted to publish it even when faced with many difficulties (the budget, cost cutting for example).

Yes, the producer himself has touched upon production issues. I think all the hype died after that. Reading those issues made me felt more appreciable towards BLEACH that it hasn't fallen into a thing like that yet and hopefully never. I think the producer should not have publicly said those issues during the run time. It gives a bad image but one could say honesty is a rare thing these days. At least, it was transparency that won.
