An Emergency Warning
- A continuation of "Time To Make The Shift" and the thrilling (and at times humorous) end to the Saitiff Kainsor Arc!

It was a refreshing break from a couple of months that had ultimately been stressful with a plethora of small jobs that had to be done and issues that had to be dealt with - not even counting the missions that they had to take care of too. Therefore putting the final touches on his own personal little project, a duck pond in a quiet corner of the courtyard mainly to facilitate the duck that had Huo Yao had given Kokoro, was easing the stress a lot. And as Juzen put the final stone down, he felt the sort of relief otherwise only felt when you had accomplished something spectacular. A masterpiece of sorts. This was by no means a masterpiece though, but as Juzen had put a lot of effort into it, it was coming along quite nicely and he even received compliments from his officers, with some of them calling it "A wonder not seen anywhere before". Such a nice bunch, though aesthetically they were probably pretty inexperienced, Juzen thought.

The division had been buzzing with life and productivity lately and a bit of controlled ruckus wasn't something he would normally trouble himself checking out - but with the gate nearby he could make out as much as a small delegation from another division were imploring the gate guards to let them in. With a bit of time one hand Juzen did a quick shunpo to appear outside the gate as both the gate guards and the delegation - wearing white lab coats and holding a lot of fancy looking equipment - stopped in their tracks as they sensed Juzen presence. It seemed to Juzen that the gate guards were insisting that they'd fill out the entrance forms and that the delegation was too much in a hurry to have the patience for that.

"Oh hello! If I'm not mistaken you lot are from the 12th division, right?" Juzen asked with a friendly smile.
"Pardon me captain! But please let me explain!" One of the guards said and continued. "These claim that they have registered a dangerous reiatsu signature inside the 6th division and they refuse to fill in the proper guest documents for entrance!" he said as the other guard laughed at the 12th division members.
"You lab rats probably just picked up our captain taking a shit after eating those meat rolls..!" he said mockingly, before remembering the captain was actually right there behind him before throwing himself on the ground all pale in the face. "I'm sorry for my lewd use of words, please forgive me!" he said all distressed.

But Juzen barely even picked up the remark and was much more interested in the 12th division members.
"To my knowledge the 12th division doesn't come knocking on other division's doors unless they are serious." Juzen said and stepped closer to the gate, as he signalled for the bowing gate guard to let them in. "What do you have for me, gentlemen?" Juzen asked calmly as the 12th division members first seemed confused at being named 'gentlemen', but when a small girl with large glasses whispered it was just a general term, they all nodded and turned to Juzen.
"Thank you very much, 6th division captain. In light of the recent events both in the 6th division and other divisions around Sereitei we have built a Reiatsu Spectrum Analyser Device Unit which can pick up on any reiatsu waves which aren't shinigami in nature and we were asked to analyse every division in Sereitei when suddenly this extremely powerful reiatsu almost burst the meter with an odd pulsating pattern. The main signature is clearly hollow though the signature suggest some small shinigami influence too." he said and scratched his chin. "And with all due respect - that's pretty suspicious!" he said and clenched his eyes.

"Hmm... that's odd since I didn't feel anything?" Juzen answered calmly.
"Yes, you wouldn't feel it. These waves acts on a level below normal reiatsu recognition. Only the most skilled in reiatsu detection might feel the same and even then they would need to be up close to the target." he said in a concise manner. By chance or if he had actually heard the commotion, Yao came over to the gate along with Kokoro.
"Hey, vice captain!" Juzen said cheeringly, when suddenly one of the 12th division members' instruments made a loud hizzing noise and blew out a thick, brown cloud of smoke into his face.
"What in the world? The instrument actually blew up this time..!" another one exclaimed. "That's the one causing it! It cannot be anyone else!" he said and pointed towards the two.
"Nonsense! Surely you are not referring to the Vice Captain?!?" the gate guard laughed, Juzen glancing at Yao before turning towards the 12th division members.
"I see. So this little guy is causing some trouble on your meters?" referring to Kokoro. "He's been in our care since Room 46 had him questioned and we're currently waiting for them to make a decision about what to do with him. Do you have to take him with you?" Juzen asked, thinking back on the struggles he and Yao had had convincing Room 46 the Kokoro wasn't a 'thing' that needed to be locked up, but a breathing, living being.
"Yes... that. If it really is that little guy causing this, we definitely have to take him back and do some tests on him. What is he anwyay?" the 12th division guy asked and corrected his glasses.
"I'll explain on the way there." Juzen answered calmly.
"On the way there? No need for the 6th division captain to escort us, we can take care of the subject just f..." he said as Juzen interrupted and crossed his arms.
"Exactly because of that. The subject is a soul placed in our care by Room 46 and we will see to it that he isn't treated as a 'subject'." Juzen said and narrowed his eyes, making the lot understand this was not up for discussion.

"Oh yes... I see. Please join us Shiruga taicho and Rukon fukutaicho." the 12th division lab guy said while fiddling with his hands rather nervously. "I believe... that it will be optimum since I think Rito Hernan-san has some news for you too." he said as Juzen frowned.
"News? Then why haven't we heard of it?" Juzen asked sceptically.
"Due to recent events he's currently not allowed to use hell butterflies and someone of his rank cannot use the masked messengers either. I suppose he plans to shunpo here anytime soon..." he sniggered as Juzen sighed and looked at Yao.
"Rito Hernan... the guy who I have tasked with finding Kainsor. A real charmer too and apparently 'highly' rated and duly respected within his squad too. You should look forward to meeting him." Juzen said sarcastically.

Juzen’s duck house was pretty awful, but there was no denying he’d put a lot of love into it, which was the only reason that Yao wasn’t slapping about the officers calling it “A wonder not seen anywhere before” – clearly he hadn’t been able to completely stamp out the remnants of sycophancy in the Sixth Division. He had taken the names, though, even if he hadn’t kicked the asses. Kokoro and Yoshifumi the duck had been staying in Yao’s mansion since Central 46 released the boy back into the Sixth Division’s custody, and he had been relieved to be able to share the place with somebody. Since there was a lot of space, Kokoro could run around and play with his duck, pretty much anywhere except the Zen garden which Yao made sure was kept in good order.

Newcomers at the gates was always something remarkable, especially from some weird division like 12th. Yao hadn’t had a lot of interaction with the science division and fortunately hadn’t needed to. He was under the impression that they were a bit creepy – maybe Hashanta had coloured his opinion about scientists that way. “Hey. What’s up?” Yao asked suspiciously. “Alright, boss?” he said by way of greeting to Juzen when spoken to. He smirked a little when the device exploded. While he enjoyed a nice explosion, and he knew he had got stronger recently, he didn’t think he was powerful enough to blow up a reiatsu meter just by looking at it. When eyes turned to Kokoro, Yao stepped in front of the boy protectively. “No way. You’re not taking him with you. If there’s something about him that requires investigation go get permission from Central 46 first.” He looked to Juzen, who seemed to think it was OK for them to take Kokoro with them as long as he and Yao accompanied them. “Fine, but we should tell Kaino Ashita about this.”

Turning to Kokoro, Yao said, “Don’t worry, kid. You’ll be safe with me and Juzen-taicho. If any of these assholes try anything funny, I’ll do a few experiments on them. Got a few grenades I haven’t tried out before…” He made sure to say it loud enough for the 12th Division members to hear.

“Rito Hernan? Great… well… if he has info for us that’s a good thing… “ he said dubiously, not really feeling like he wanted to trust any of these people.

Juzen understood Yao's defensive stance completely and thinking of his past interactions with the 12th division and 'certain members', he agreed that it was best to involve Ashita in this. Luckily the 6th division had set up an efficient communication link consisting of a handful of loyal and quick shinigami to deliver messages across Sereitei.
"Sure, I agree completely. Let's put the new communication line to the test and see how they handle a 1st priority message to Room 46." Juzen said and asked one of the guards to fetch a runner and told the runner to explain to Ashita-san that Kokoro would be transferred to the 12th division and that she should meet up as quickly as possible.
Juzen observed as the 12th division guys tensed up when Yao 'comforted' Kokoro and Juzen narrowed his eyes and looked at the 12th division guys with a non-compromising glare.
"And I like to push alembics down on the floor... on purpose..." Juzen said as the guy closest to Juzen shivered and another one started getting tears in her eyes. "Alright then, let's go!" Juzen said and changed his demeanor completely.

After a bit of patient shunpoing they arrived at the 12th division along with the considerably slower 12th division members. At the gate that proved to be pretty advantageous though as they were both provided a couple of badges to hang around their necks that proved who they were and what part of the division they were allowed to visit.
"We have tightened up the security since some guy from another division and some guy from our own division broke into the old lab and made a mess of things. Now we hand out these tags to guests so everyone can see who is authorized to go where. You'd have a hard time coming in without these - and getting these you need a permission or an invitation." he explained as Juzen hummed a bit and looked around the place pretending he had nothing to do with that incident.
As usual the division was stuffed with weird looking buildings that had wires, tubes and antennaes protruding from different places. Maybe it was the odd structures that made Juzen forget what it looked like, but he genuinely thought this place kept changing shape every time he got here and he bare remembered the way to the main building where Rito Hernan had his own little place.

"We have an ongoing investigation carried out by Rito Hernan-san. Can we go there in private and return to you guys a bit later?" Juzen asked the 12th division guys and after a bit of whispering they grudgingly agreed.
"Pew, good thing we good away from them, they were kind of stifling my mood." Juzen said and scratched his hair. "Sorry to say we're are visiting someone far worse though..." Juzen said with a wry smile as he lead Yao and Kokoro over to a small entrance in the wall covered by a curtain.
"Hello there, Hernan-san!" Juzen said with a fake smile as he drew the curtain away and walked into the cramped room, which was filled with alembics and all sorts of electric gadgets. Rito Hernan was a small guy with standard lab coat, red curls and reasonably large glasses compared to his head size and seemed completely absorbed in observing the coming together of two differently colored fluids. "It's always like this..." Juzen said and sighed. "You've got to do something to get his attention or he'll just sit there." Juzen said as glanced around the room for something to topple over that would make some noise, when suddenly Rito turned towards Juzen looking utterly dissatisfied with what he saw.

"Oh... it's you... the number one trouble maker in Sereitei and now wearing a haori! If you think that with your status you can come and dictate my work you are dead wrong..!" he said with a high pitched voice that got squeakier the angrier he seemed to get.
"But... you kind of sent for us." Juzen said and crossed his arms.
"Well.. yeah I did. Oh so that's why you're here. I thought that the thug standing behind you was brought here to threaten me or something. Well, looking at him I'd say he'd probably scare a mirror to go blank with that frown. Where did you scrape that thing up?" he asked Juzen with a plain face as Juzen turned to Yao.
"Ehh just so you know his filter have been lost somewhere in the fumes of some alchemy experiment. Please try to bear with it at least until he has expended his usefulness." Juzen said shrugged as he addressed Rito Hernan again.
"This is my Vice Captain Rukon Yao. I know you don't like other people in your hut, but in any other place you'd been locked up for disrespecting a commanding officer. Not that you'd notice much difference..." Juzen said as he looked around the cramped place.
"I see... charming as ever..." he said and turned his gaze at Kokoro. "What is that?!? If he pushes any buttons I swear... I swear...!" he said unable to finish his sentence properly.
"Alright, you are allowed to swear if that happens, because you aren't touching him." Juzen said assertively as Rito frowned.
"He's not a normal child is he?" he asked curiously as if he suddenly found him much more interesting.
"You're catching on quickly." Juzen said with a grin. "But I'd like to get to the matter of hand. I suppose you have made progress tracking the source of the ring's reiatsu signature?" Juzen asked as Rito scratched his chin.
"Progress... Well you could call it 'progress' but in the end it just presented another problem." He said and looked unwilling to flesh out the details.

"Come on, stop beating around the bush." Juzen said and crossed his arms.
"You won't like it!" he said and sighed. "Very well... Unfortunately the communication signal has been located to Hueco Mundo..." he said.
"That's not too bad? We have means to got there right?" Juzen asked with a faint smile.
"The Moon of Hueco Mundo. You know that floating thing tens of thousands of kilometers in the air. Yeah, that's where he's currently residing." Rito Hernan said resignedly.
"You must be kidding me..!" Juzen said surprised.
"Unfortunately not, the moon is where the signal comes from. However I have no idea how he reached it and much less how we can do it or what state it is in. Probably heavy with reiatsu since it took be months and not weeks to trace the signal. Maybe he suded a Royal Palace travelling machine - which I have only heard about in theory - or perhaps some kind of gate can be opened. So I suppose we'll have to wait for him to..." Rito Hernan said as he was interrupted be another shadow entering the small laboratory.
"Have you always been this unambitious you little red haired midget?!?" the stern voice called out, as Ashita had joined the party.

Yao didn’t know what “alembics” were but Juzen’s threat seemed to push the 12th Division guys’ buttons, so he approved it. They arrived at the 12th Division, which Yao had never been to before, or even thought much about. At the gate they were handed out colour coded badges that gave them access to different areas. It was a process that made entering the Sixth Division look simple. He attempted to be patient as they fiddled around and tried not to accidentally punch anyone out of frustration. Kokoro was quiet as usual, and looked around at everything with huge eyes. Yao put his hand on the boy’s shoulder. “I know you’re probably not looking forward to going into another lab,” he said quietly as the 12th Division officials talked to Juzen who was attempting fake nonchalance for a reason Yao didn’t understand. “I’ll be right with you the whole time, OK? And remember who was the one who smashed Hashanta’s lab to bits? I can do that here too…” Kokoro looked up at him with a shy smile, and while Yao was never sure what he might be thinking, he seemed to be reassured a little.

“Do we want to get his attention?” asked Yao when Juzen pointed out Rito Hernan’s oblivious attitude. Nothing in the room meant anything to Yao, science and technology were not something that interested him, and like many in the rather old fashioned world of Soul Society, he didn’t understand it and didn’t care to. His eyes glanced over it all in one quick sweep and then focused back on the little scientist, someone who was supposedly useful to them. “Oi,” said Yao as Rito Hernan took the trouble to notice them, “I’m the number one trouble maker in Seireitei, don’t you forget it!” Hernan had already pegged him as a thug. “If Juzen-taicho wants me to, I can not only threaten you but carry it out nicely too. Lucky for you, I’m just here for decoration on this occasion,” he sneered.

Kokoro seemed far more interested than Yao, not straying from his side, but looking at everything very carefully, his eyes drawn to the strange coloured liquids merging in the beakers. “He’s not going to touch anything. And it’s none of your business what he is. I’m not poking my nose into your … fancy chemistry set so you keep yours away from him. Assuming you wanna keep your nose that is.”

However, Yao put his threats aside when Rito Hernan started talking about the reiatsu signature and how it had been traced to Hueco Mundo. The moon in Hueco Mundo. Knowing how Saitiff Kainsor had built a city in an alternate dimension above the sky of Seireitei, him being based on the moon wasn’t entirely surprising. Why the hell not? It was flashy enough.

Just when talk began to descend into boring technicalities, who should turn up but Kaino Ashita. He turned to face the door expectantly as she walked through. Perhaps she had some way they could get up there quickly and beat heads. “Kaino Ashita-dono. Fancy meeting you here.”

Kaino Ashita sneered and looked around and Juzen seemed to notice she was definitely not in the best of moods at the moment.
"Ashita-dono..!" Juzen asked surprised as she narrowed her eyes.
"Rukon-san. Shiruga-san...." she said and paused. "... Rito-san..." she added without looking at him directly, Juzen noticing she seemed more uptight than usual. Her presence still commanded due respect and her reiatsu was peerless among most captains, but as Juzen had come to know her, he sensed something was troubling her.
"Kaino-dono, why have you come here?" Juzen asked, though Ashita seemed to have her own agenda and wasn't about to be rushed into cutting things short.

"Rukon-san... Trying to be polite? It's not like you though." she commented with a wry smile. "But fitting none the less. You might be needed further up the hierarchy at some point, so you might as well learn to discard that rough Rukongai attitude when necessary." she added cryptically before addressing both of them.
"Good thing you brought Kokoro though, I think we need to make progress finding out what he did in Hashanta's hideout and if he has any connection to the ongoing investigation into Kainsor. And I was thinking that you... my good man... would like to do an analysis on his reiatsu?" she said and turned to Rito Hernan, who he had been clenching his fists and teeth since she entered the room.
I... MIGHT..!" he answered obstinately. "But only because I like a challenge! Don't think I would ever do anything for you freely..." he added and crossed his arms as Juzen learned towards Yao.
"I think Rito Hernan has run some kind of illegal business and Ashita kind of black mailed him for services instead of dragging him before Room 46..." Juzen whispered with a frown not quite sure what to think of all that. "But way to go getting a compliment from her. She doesn't hand those out lightly." Juzen said and nodded in acknowledgement.

"Great, I trust you will do what's required of you in any case." Ashita said seemingly satisfied with his answer. "But to get to the point I came to let you know that we have observed a 'known reiatsu' in the real world." she said with a grim look as Juzen opened his eyes wide.
Is it him? Is it Kainsor?" Juzen asked though Ashita shook her head.
"It is not, but I believe you know her as Jizumi Alasna, the former Vice Labrian of the Great Spiritual Library - and for your information Rukon-san - the person who let Shiruga-san here Saitiff Kainsor and helped him escape. Not a trifle matter at all." she said with a sincere expression to her face. "Do not mistake her charm for honesty, she is a true traitor of the Gotei 13 and I don't know how many people in both the protection squad and Room 46 she has deceived. Therefore I suggest you leave for the real world immediately and let me see to it that Kokoro is being examined with dignity." Ashita added and nodded towards Yao and Kokoro.

"Hah..! I knew you where a real criminal Shiruga-san! All of you are! Would you think that you've let out a notorious killer and criminal and get away with it! And you probably head butt babies for the fun of it!" Rito Hernan said and mockingly pointed his finger at Juzen and Yao.
"Well what can I do? He's family." Juzen said and shrugged, which seemed to stun Rito Hernan as Juzen hid a wry smile. "Anyway Kaino-dono, of course we'll go take care of it." Juzen said and nodded respectfully as he looked to Yao. "I hope I can count on you too? I don't know what road this will lead us down, and I suppose as captain I could tell you to... but as a friend I'd like to ask you if I can count on you?" Juzen asked Yao, hoping the prospect of a potentially far more dangerous mission wouldn't dissuade him. But when had it done that the last time?
"Whatever conclusion you two reach the situation needs to be handled urgently. Please come, I have already arranged for the use of the 12th division's Senkaimon as passageway to the real world." Ashita said with a sincere expression.
"Crafty one aren't you. To think you'd gain permission for that..." Rito Hernan commented and narrowed his eyes.
"It was easy you know. Not everyone are as rigid and stubborn as you, Rito-san." Ashita said and turned to the willing party. "Now please hurry up and go to sector C2 in 3rd corridor of this building. The send off team is expecting you. Make sure to use your skills to the fullest and don't slack off for even a second. We don't know what he is after." Ashita said worried as Juzen nodded and smiled.
"Don't worry about that. Please just look out for Kokoro." Juzen said and was off to 12th division's senkaimon.

Yao snorted derisively at Ashita’s comment about his manners, though he completely missed the subtext of him being needed further up the hierarchy. It didn’t occur to him that he’d be climbing it any time within the next hundred years anyway. “You can take the thug out of Rukongai but you can’t take Rukongai out of the thug. Right, Juzen-taicho?” He wasn’t going to discard his “rough attitude” for anyone, although that didn’t mean he wouldn’t be respectful for those deserving of respect, among which he counted Kaino Ashita as Juzen’s mentor.

“Wait a minute,” he said after Ashita explained the situation with Jizumi Alasna. “I’m all for finding this person who dicked around with Juzen-taicho, but there’s no way I’m leaving Kokoro here alone with you. No offence Kaino-dono but I promised the kid he wouldn’t come to harm because I was here and if I’m not here then how do I know what’s happening to him?”

Without turning around he pointed to Rito Hernan and said, “I’ll head butt you if you’re not careful and you can examine my technique. If you don’t want that kind of close up lesson, shut up while other people are talking.” Heading into a corner with Juzen so he could give him his reply without further interruptions, Yao said, “Juzen, you know I’ve always got your back. As a VC and as a friend. You don’t even need to ask.” In fact the idea of leaving Juzen alone with someone known for her deception was laughable given how gullible Juzen was. At least Yao had a bit of streetwise to see through that kind of crap. “Only thing though… I don’t want to leave Kokoro here with them” he motioned with his head towards Rito and Kaino Ashita. “Wait. I might not trust them – but I do trust you. What if you left one of your clones here to watch over Kokoro? Even your clone could kick anybody’s arse that needed it… and take Kokoro back to Sixth if necessary. I still don’t like leaving him but if I have to … “ he looked conflicted as his eyes wandered over to Kokoro.

Juzen agreed and summoned up a clone while Yao went over to explain the situation to Kokoro, telling him that he and Juzen had to go off somewhere to defeat another bad guy like Hashanta, who was also working for Hashanta’s boss. Kokoro nodded solemnly. “Juzen number two will protect you, OK? And if anything happens we’ll know about it.” Kokoro nodded again, “I’ll be OK, aniki.”

Much as he still wanted to put Kokoro beyond the reach of the scientists, surely with Kaino-dono AND Juzen’s clone, he would be fine. With Juzen he headed off towards the Senkaimon. The Twelfth Division’s gate was a rather unofficial one, and unlike those he’d used before in the academy, they would have no hell butterfly to follow but instead would have to travel through the Dangai. It was something he’d heard of, usually in the context of “whatever you do don’t lose your hell butterfly” cautionary tales at the Academy. “Great,” said Yao, “Well its not like we have a choice. Let’s go!” The team activated the gate and Yao jumped through. From what he heard it was best to go through as quickly as possible because of the Cleaner. Although to be fair being killed by a giant interdimensional toilet brush might be a poetic kind of end for him. Instead he made sure to use his shunpo, making his flash step as fast as possible so that he could clear the Dangai in no time. They appeared to not be menaced by the Cleaner as luck would have it and instead Yao emerged into the Living World…

… straight into a room full of running, screaming, fighting and yelling children. They played, they picked their noses, they hit each other with board books. Yao’s foot connected with a small cube with strange symbols on each side, and accidentally kicked it across the floor. Most of the kids didn’t seem to notice, but one, his finger buried up to the knuckle in a snotty nose, looked up at him with wide, pale eyes. “Fuck,” he said, “Juzen! What the hell is this!”

"Oh yeah sure... I see." Juzen said as scratched his chin and nodded. "I've never left a clone in another dimension without any connection to my reiatsu, but I don't see why it shouldn't work." Juzen said upbeat and released his shikai. "Nourish, Seed of Life!" Juzen said as suddenly pieces of the walls started to disintegrate along the floor as particles gathered in the shape of another Juzen, complete with haori and everything. "That should do it." Juzen said satisfied. "Only thing is that I have to stay in shikai for this to continue to work." Juzen said as suddenly Rito Hernan interrupted.
"You... you terrorist! You've destroyed pieces of the wall and floor inside my laboratory!" he said as he almost jumped a bit from suppressed rage.
"Oookay... I think we're ready to go, right Yao?" Juzen said and smiled, as they headed towards sector C2 in 3rd corridor after once again as an extra precaution telling Ashita to watch out for Kokoro.

Satisfied with having left behind a strong clone possessing his will to protect Kokoro, he arrived at the right corridor along with Yao.
"Hmm... this should be it, though it seems awfully closed off..." Juzen said as the thick metal blast gate blocked the way and was almost about to turn around when a voice addressed them from a funny little unit over the door. Maybe that was what was called a loudspeaker?
"Please introduce yourselves!" a metallic voice said.
"Huh..? Oh yeah sure. It's Shiruga Juzen and Rukon Yao, Captain and Vice Captain of the 6th division sent on behalf of Kaino Ashita, advisor of..." Juzen said as the metallic voice interrupted him again.
"Alright, alright..! Don't shout it out to everyone in the 12th division! I'm taking a damn risk here..!" it said as the metal gate opened just enough that Juzen and Yao could get inside sideways, where a small, round guy in a lab coat wearing a white helmet too small for his head with two protruding antennas on top of it.

"Sorry to sound so gruff, but officially this Senkaimon is just a non working prototype and is not supposed to carry anyone to the real world as it haven't been cleared to work with the hell butterflies yet nor is it able to limit the reiatsu of the captain levels going through it." he said and sighed. "Apparently that Kaino Ashita figure thought that was a veeery good idea though. I just hope you know what you're doing, because without a hell butterfly there is a slight chance that the cleaner will appear when you're inside... and then you have to be fast because you can't stop the cleaner with any means available to a shinigami." he said as a word of warning while tapping a pencil on the notepad in his hands as he seemed to go through a small list of warnings he made. "I suppose that was it. I hope you're ready, because if you strong guys need your full reiatsu for this mission, I'm, not the least bit envious." he said.
"Ahh I see... she's being pretty sneaky indeed!" Juzen said with a wry smile and nodded, as Yao said they wouldn't have a choice. "Yeah I feel the same, get that thing going and we'll jump through!" Juzen said, feeling slightly excited by going back to the real world again, and willingly passed through the gate as the 12th division guy fiddled with the control panel.
"Oh and one last thing... as the gate isn't calibrated fully yet, please be careful as the exit point might be..." he said and looked up as they had both already passed through. "... pretty unpredictable..." he said and sighed.

Normally shinigami didn't pass through the dangai while having a hell butterfly, so this was the first time Juzen saw what was described in the text books. The walls of goo on each side of the path reminded Juzen of a particular tasty brand of jam and was so awed by the weird place he just stood there and glanced around.
"Hey this is a funny place huh? To think Soul Society made this? What do you think, Yao? Would you boast about your work if you were the architect? 'Hey, I'm the architect behind the death-jam walls of the Dangai! I could give you a great offer on securing your mansion against thieves, Shiruga-dono!'. How about that huh? Yao..? Yao wait up!" Juzen said and suddenly noticed Yao was already far ahead using shunpo and Juzen immediately followed. Luckily the cleaner was nowhere to be seen and they had avoided bad luck... for now. Yao's head started had meant Juzen didn't catch up until just before they reached the light at the end of the tunnel and with the thought 'I wonder where we are going to end up?' briefly touching his mind Juzen found himself alongside Yao in the confinements of some kind of... well... Yao's words were akin to what Juzen thought right now.

"I don't know? Is Jizumi somewhere close by?!?" Juzen said and looked around, though he couldn't detect any kind of shinigami spiritual pressure... but one of the small children seemed to notice Yao and Juzen. "Oh hello little fellow..! Seems like you're spiritually aware? Maybe you'll become a shinigami in a hundred years time and you can join my division?" Juzen said with a wide grin and waved at him as the child dropped his pacifier before turning his gaze towards Yao. The child instantly frowned as shoved a doll's pram into Yao's shin. "Oh he's so cute! Already learning how to fight! Isn't that right, Yao?" Juzen said, almost feeling like a proud father. But almost before Juzen finished his sentence the child pulled back the doll's pram and once again had a go, this time at Juzen's shin.
"Why you little..!" Juzen exclaimed, suddenly not having such fond feelings towards the small child.
"Oh my... I wonder what's gone into Hans-Sebastian? You think he could be nearsighted? Then we'd have to tell his parents." one of the kindergarten teachers commented to the other seeing his odd behaviour with the doll's pram.
"No, I think he just need a bit of Ritalin like most children his age..." the other answered as she pulled her cigarette from her mouth and leaned out of the window.
"I think... we better leave this place..!" Juzen said annoyed as he looked for a way out while the angry child kept following him trying to run him over with all his might and the kindergarten teachers shaking their heads.

After having found a way out of what was a genuine chaos of Lego bricks on the floor, runaway doll's prams and saliva, Juzen found that they had been flung pretty far from their target as they were standing in what looked to be a peaceful suburb somewhat outside the big city.
"The mission says she was sighted down at the docks and that we should look for some huge cranes. No huge cranes here though..." Juzen said and handed Yao the mission paper if he wanted to have a look at it. "Anyway we have a way to go pretty far before reaching anything resembling the big city it seems." Juzen commented as he thought what direction they were to take when a bus passed them by. "Wait? Did that bus not say 'centrum'? I think that means the middle of the city doesn't it?" Juzen asked Yao. "Let's follow it and see what happens!" Juzen suggested. It was a slow thing though and it seemed you could hardly take a decent shunpo step before it stopped again to take on passengers and drop some off, but after some time they finally arrived at what looked like the outskirts of a larger city, and it seemed as if they were able to spot what looked like water in the horizon along with some cranes outlined by the soon to set sun.

"Finally! Now let's get moving in a proper speed!" Juzen said as they were able to arrive at the docks much faster - speeding through the large city in a manner of minutes. As they came closer, Juzen definitely felt the spiritual pressure of a shinigami... but this spiritual pressure was being flanked by powerful arrancar spiritual pressures and... "Is that..? Quincy spiritual pressure too?!?" Juzen exclaimed surprised, as they arrived a good hundred meters from what was apparently a battle that was about to initiate. On one side Juzen recognized Jizumi Alasna and two arrancar by her side on a large cargo ship facing what appeared to be a quincy who was standing down on the docks. The quincy was carrying a long and slim zweihander sword almost making him look normal height, but looking twice you would notice how tall he actual was - at least a couple of meters. Juzen noticed the quincy had a short, dark brown hair and a pale complexion along with an emotionless almost robotic facial expression.
"I see, you must be the shinigami Goldmund told us about. How about giving us our comrade back?" the quincy asked and narrowed his eyes.
Jizumi herself gave Juzen only a faint, sideways look.
"Listen up, I'm sorry to be bossy but I'd like to pay that... lady a short visit. Would you mind making sure I don't get that large quincy sword through my back as I approach her?" Juzen asked Yao in a polite though firm way and if Yao was to accept, Juzen would shunpo down in front of Jizumi counting on Yao to cover his back and deal with the quincy - whatever threat he posed.
"I really can't say if it's some kind of bad judgement or if you're trying to humiliate me but a mere Vice Captain should be no match for me. The plan to use the key shall not be yours..." the quincy said with an ominous voice as he drew his zweihander. "It's name is 'Warshade' and it will be your regret that your captain has such poor estimation skills..." he said as he raised the sword ready to attack Yao at any time.

“Fuck!” the small child with the snotty nose repeated as Juzen and Yao made a run for it from the kindergarten. The teachers looked at him suddenly. “Hans-Sebastian! Where did you learn that?!” “Fuck,” he repeated happily. Yao decided Juzen’s idea to leg it was prudent even if those teachers couldn’t see them…

“Huge cranes?!” repeated Yao, picturing the long-beaked, long-legged birds. The Living World was pretty different here to the part of it he’d lived in. He frowned at the mission paper that Juzen handed him. It didn’t seem that enlightening. He roughly folded it up and stuffed it inside his shirt front. “Couldn’t they have dropped us anywhere nearer?” he muttered. Juzen seemed to be making use of his brain deciphering the foreign writing that was everywhere around the city. Yao could just about read the letters but the words didn’t say anything meaningful to him. He looked around suspiciously and stood close to the captain. He didn’t see any giant birds, but large mechanical things loomed over the docks, which looked as though they were there to winch cargo on and off the ships. He also felt the unmistakeable spiritual pressure of the shinigami target, the arrancars, and the Quincy. “Yep, it’s a bloody Quincy alright,” he confirmed. Fighting the last lot of Quincies hadn’t given him a particularly high opinion of them. They seemed a more arrogant bunch than even some nobles in Soul Society, with less to back it up. “Not usual you get all three together… do we win a prize for collecting a set or something?” When Juzen elected to take on Jizumi and leave the Quincy to him, he sighed. “Yeah, sure,” he said, shunpoing closer and not losing a beat whipping out his zanpakuto since the Quincy was already armed with quite a flashy looking claymore, that looked much smaller than it should in his hands.

“Oh, you’re a mate of that guy, are you?” said Yao as the Quincy mentioned Goldmund, “He was a bundle of laughs. You got any one-liners that are funnier than his? Better say them now if you do, might not be much chance later.” If Yao was in any way insulted by being underestimated as a Vice Captain, he certainly didn’t show it as he casually placed his zanpakuto over his shoulder. “Yeah, sorry to disappoint you. I guess to save your face, it’s better that you don’t run the risk of losing a fight against me.” A grin spread over his face, “So … how about you tell me what you’re doing here and what you’ve got to do with that bunch of losers,” he jerked his head in the direction of Jizumi and her arrancar friends, “then you might not need to get a humiliating arse kicking from a mere Vice Captain.”

"One-liners? No I'm afraid I'm not the jester he is." the quincy with a plain face. "And I can assure you, that there is no battlefield where the likes of your rank could hope to defeat me." he said and frowned slightly. "Trying to squeeze information out of your enemy before submitting him? What an unsightly thing to do. But since you probably don't even know why you're here yourselves, I should tell you why this fight matters. That girl and her two friends are here to claim an old quincy artifact. More specifically the artifact that tells you exactly how to undo the seal to unleash Garregar. So if you can in any way resist me, please try to do so in a manner that you won't make a complete fool out of your captain!" he said with a rapid flicker he moved behind Yao and from a distance of a about five meters. "Now... how do you feel being ripped into tiny pieces by the condensed spirit particles my Warshade shoots from it's edge when swung? Everything before it is torn apart!" he said as he swung down his zweihander sword as the violent reiatsu pressure seemed to rip the tarmac asunder as well as rip the stacked containers behind Yao to shreds.

"Oh great, the grim face on that quincy was starting to bore me. But this face here is one I've missed! Shiruga-san, how have you been? Becoming captain and all?" Jizumi said with a smirk, though it sounded as if part of her meant it.
"You've seemed to have been making other friends since our last meeting..." Juzen commented, seeing the thin male arrancars by her side - one with a tiara mask piece with a unicorn horn protruding from it and the other a chubby red haired lady with curled hair and a hat resembling that of a turtle's shell.
"Well you know me, I make friends with those I'm told to befriend. Not much more to it!" she said with a wry smile.

"I think you don't know what 'friend' means and for that I'm truly sorry, Jizumi-san. You're missing out a lot." Juzen said as she frowned. "But I came here to ask you a question too." Juzen said and paused.
"A question? Oh go ahead, this will be fun." she said with a mischievous smile.
"As fun as you make it. But please tell me; were you the one to order the assassination of my sister, Shiruga Shahira, in order for me to rise to head of the clan faster?" Juzen asked calmly.
"Ohh that's a snake's kind of question. Very unlike you!" she said and seemed to size Juzen up before continuing. "It's pretty hypethetical as she's still alive isn't it? But what if it was? What if I did that? Are you going to kill me?" she asked and tilted her head.
"W-what..! N-no one killth Jizumi-than!" the arrancar to her right with the unicorn horn said, as saliva was dripping out of his mouth, Juzen noticing his hollow hole went directly through his head exiting over his ears.
"Oh shut it!" she said to the arrancar. "Now this is why I prefer friends like you. Honestly I've never had any reason to dislike you. You're bright, strong and kind... but oh well... you aren't exactly the assertive type. Damn, there's a drawback to everything isn't there?" she said cheekishly.

"You didn't answer my question. Did you order that assassination on my sister and indirectly caused my step father and mother to offer their life to the assassins as recompense?" Juzen asked again.
"Ohh... is it the perfect man I see before me? It seems you have some degree of assertiveness in you after all! But for your information you didn't answer my question either. Will you kill a poor girl who made a very bad deal?" she asked.
"Very well, I will take your filthy maze of words as a 'yes'. And in regards to your question, I think you will make great friends inside the Muken." Juzen said and smirked as he drew his zanpaktou.
"Alright, you can do it now. Go!" she commanded the unicorn arrancar in no uncertain terms.
"Weee...! Diiiieee shinigami! Ceeeroooo!!!" he shouted as a multicolored orb of energy formed in front of his horn which blasted towards Juzen.
"Oh no you won't!" Juzen said as he blocked the cero by raising his foot and stomped it back into the ship they were standing on, causing a huge explosion as the arrancar and Jizumi had to dodge away from the blast.
"Nourish, Seed of Life!" Juzen chanted as he shunpoed up behind unicorn arrancar and though the arrancar had seen Juzen coming and had drawn his sword to block, the sheer brute force of Juzen's attack broke through his defense and sent the arrancar flying into another stack of containers with huge force and a deep cut in its shoulder.
"Will you move to the front lines now, Jizumi-san, or will you sacrifice another pawn?" Juzen asked firmly, as he saw the fight between the quincy and Yao had commenced too. It was nothing Yao couldn't handle it seemed though.

“Oh, he was the funny one. Right,” said Yao, clearly unimpressed. “Luckily this ain’t a battlefield,” he said looking around at the dockyard on which they stood. “Looks like you got advantage of the home turf though, Isn’t this where your mum used to work doing dirty favours for sailors?” He then sat through the Quincy’s lecture on what was happening and why. So, Jizumi was after the same thing the Quincy was, and it wouldn’t be in his and Juzen’s interest for either party to get hold of it. “I’ve got some more questions for you, if you survive. But we’ll save them for later,” he said, taking his zanpakuto off his shoulder. “Since we’re introducing our swords, this is Tiangou. It’s sole purpose is dedicated to fucking up the shit of haughty arrogant bastards with their heads up their own arses. It’s looking forward to tearing you a new one so your room has a view.”

The Quincy hadn’t been exaggerating at the power of Warshade. Feeling the rush of air as the spiritrons gathered in front of the claymore’s blade, Yao dodged the line of his attack with shunpo, and watched over his shoulder as the tarmac plus all the containers directly in front of the Quincy were ripped apart in a surgical straight line. Luckily those kind of huge swords were pretty hard swing about with any kind of speed, and although the attack was destructive, he had plenty of time to see it coming. “Tiangou, ignite!” Yao activated shikai, feeling the blade grow heavier in his hands, and the whole balance of the weapon change into Tiangou’s familiar sickle shape. The Quincy seemed to be staring after the trail of destruction his sword had made, with a kind of beatific smile on his face as though mesmerised by his own work. Yao had to admit it did make quite a dramatic swathe of damage, and he had no intention of being caught in one himself. As he came out of Shunpo directly behind the Quincy, he swung his sword in a diagonal reaping cut to the Quincy’s shoulder, the edge of his blade sharpened with reiatsu in probably much the same way as the Quincy’s sword cut with spiritrons. He expected to meet resistance, or for at least the Quincy to turn around with a shocked expression and a curse on his lips, but instead the sickle sliced through the Quincy like butter, slicing him from shoulder to waist. He didn’t even seem to notice that he’d been hit.

Watching the guy’s body stagger and fall. Not quite dead yet but having taken the full force of Yao’s zanjutsu strike. Yao, suspiciously, looked around, holding his zanpakuto at the ready as he backed off a few paces with his sword raised. The guy went down so easily he thought he might be a clone or a dummy, and started keeping his eye out for other opponents. “Yeah, a vice captain really was no where near your level…” he muttered to the Quincy. “You Quincies really need to get some better intel before shooting your mouths off.”
