So, what's more annoying than a thread started by a gullible RP'er who wants to dictate what the mods do with the forum and have no clue how much work is behind the forum and that changes needs to be considered carefully and not just implemented immediately because of a participant's fleeting though absolutely brilliant idea? Not much huh? But here it is anyway as I needed one for my own suggestion! :urahara

Here it goes then. It has to do with the Level system in the RP section - primarily for the shinigami - but potentially relevant for all races. When you get to four level 5's in the skills the development stops and as Aizen once said "Isn't there a way to break that boundary?". Oh sure there's hollowfication as Aizen might have mentioned once or twice in Bleach, but as I consider my intellect far superior to Aizen's, I will suggest another way!

The Master Level!

Yes, for an exhorbitant amount of SP's and if your SP count is high enough, you will be able to convert one level 5 skill level to the level 6 Master Level!

Among the captains and former captains of Gotei 13 there have been er few I would call masters within their arts who either knows specific and unique techniques in their field or have developed some themselves. An example of this is the former Kido commander Tessai Tsukubashi, who mastered time and teleportation kido along with the complete bakudo 99. Unohana Yachiru was one of those masters too, as her zanjutsu skill was a cut (pun intended) above everyone elses. Even great zanjutsu fighters like Kyuraku or Byakuya, who might arguably both be level 5 combatants, would be nowhere near her. Old man Yama's zanpaktou ability might be an example of a level 6 zanpaktou affinity skill along with Tenjiro Kirinji in the healing department also being a level 6.

So what's the deal? Is that it? No, of course that isn't it! Since it's a Master Level, it's not only very expensive, requires a boat load of SP, gives a great boost to that particular ability, it also opens up for the player to add a unique move or technique to his or hers arsenal, that would further underline the fact, that your character is a master in that field and has something to show for it!

If you were a level 6 in shunpo, you could chose to develop a special move like Utsuemi. The ability would function like a zanpaktou ability and you would use SP to make use of it, but the technique could have unique features too or simply just boost shunpo extra. Your choice! Or well... I suppose this particular technique should be developed along with and then approved by the mods. But then you're good to go with your unique master technique, and not only will you feel ultra badass, but also you can now claim some legendary status and further definite your character in the BA RP version of Seireitei.

As for kido masters, mastering the hado 99, the urahado Ichibe used against Yhwach or maybe the time and teleportation spells Tessai used? If it doesn't already exists, there's luckily plenty of unused hado and bakudo numbers freely available!

I know by now you'd have asked yourself: "Oh that's nice, but where will that SP limit be? 42.000 SP perhaps huh?"

Well... I purposely hadn't put a limit anywhere, but I'm pretty certain that's way too high! Also I cannot say that I didn't have Juzen in my mind when proposing this, but I genuinely think this would be a cool add on for everyone with a high powered character and I would really look forward to see which kind of master level techniques other RP'ers would chose. Also it might serve to further underline the Captain Commander's status or the Zero Division for that sake - who could even have more than one level 6 ability.

As it is now, you can claim a level 5 ability in any category before you reach 10.000 SP and I think that detracts from my idea of what a top level skill is about. It's suppose to be rare and almost unobtainable, not something a Vice Captain can just do (well, there are certain Vice Captains who would definitely be qualified though...). So right now, characters above 25.000 SP don't seem like they can grow very much anymore, as there might not be much left for one to use your SP on. Especially if you are a on trick pony who leans towards mainly zanjutsu or mainly kido because of your character's personality.

So that's it. No further suggestions right now, so I will let it be up to the mods to punch holes in my suggestion... or dare I hope it will be considered? Well, we'll see! :yay
 
Add a Charisma stat for those times when you would rather talk down your opponent than fight. You could use Charisma instead of Strength to do verbal attacks (either convince, intimidate or seduce) and then opponent would have to use Charisma to defend. Maybe you could even get kido or zanpakuto abilities that would boost Charisma. Like what Aizen has. :thumbs
