When I first saw the Quincies, I at first thought they were of a German motif, which they are, but a lot of Quincy didn't seem German (Mask De Masculine for example). So when we started getting introduced to more of them, I started thingking "Maybe the Quincies are from all over the world and not just one area?" So I started thinking, What country could each Sternritter be from? Here's my thoughts.

Now that I think about it, the name Berci does sound kinda Italianish. Italy suits him more than Russia actually.

Being Irish myself, I actually didn't even think about this... makes more sense than Belgium :lmao

Everyone has said Juha as Israeli. That actually does make some sense, if I think about it. He does come off as Middle-Eastern or around that area. The reason I chose Russian is simply because the Vandenreich is an icy place so Russia fit it.

I always thought that surnames with "Mc" are Scotty and surnames with "O'" (John O'Shea) are Irish. :headscratch

They're used commonly in both countries. We both have Celtic roots which is where those names come from. O would be used more in Ireland than Scotland, but you are right Mc would be used more in Scotland. Though both are commonly used in both countries. A bunch of my friends have Mc and O.

This thread is awesome!! You guys have actually made my mind go into overdrive :lmao

The only thing I'm sure of is that Haschwalth is German, but I'm surprised at the consensus that Askin is Dutch, I felt he had an Arab origin considering his appearance maybe it's the Name?

Keep it up guys, if Kubo won't develop these guys than we shall :elmo :lmao
