John Wick: Chapter 4—10/10

Keanu Reeves is back in this action packed movie. He’s done wonderfully in his role as John Wick, or Jardani, the assassin. I’m not going to delve into what this movie is about. Except to tell you it’s action packed. Which means tons of fighting.

Kong: Skull Island - 9/10

One of the best giant monster movies I’ve ever seen. I like that Kong’s story was told differently than how it it did in the past (both the original and remakes). It portrayed him less as a girl obsessed beast and more as a human protector. Heck, even the natives were shown to be more friendly to the main characters. Definitely one of my favorites.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 - 7.5/10

This movie left an even greater impression on me than its predecessors. (Even more than Groot's adorable moments in previous movies.) Rocket's background story, the unfortunate circumstances the characters find themselves in, and the villain all left a deeply emotional (and almost traumatizing 😂) impact on me. I want to avoid spoilers, but I do want to say that the normal humor found in this series is still present but in a way that is doesn't avoid/devoid the pain that the characters are feeling. The new characters introduced were all endearing (especially Lylla, IMO). I loved getting to know Rocket more. I can't say the same about the villain 😭. Good movie.

Babylon 5: The Road Home - 9/10

I loved Babylon 5 from the beginning. It has always been a series that is special to me. I regretted it so much that this franchise fell silent after the end of the TV series and the unfortunate fate of the short lived Crusade sequel.

But the situation at Warner Bros. has changed. Babylon 5 is coming back! The start is this movie, an animated feature. There will be a blu ray version of the full series in a boxed set in December. And a new Babylon 5 series is coming! I am so excited!

The Road Home is a good story, combining action and nice character moments. Some of the faces are somewhat off, the reason why I don't give it full marks. But I got used to it quickly. Especially if you are a Babylon 5 fan, it is definitely worth watching!
