Ah, Christmas used to be about the school holiday, the morning with Cartoon Network, a big bowl of Chocos and Herschey chocolate milk and chilling out to the Grinch and his evil smile. And I always used to watch Home Alone in the evening on VHS.

For me Christmas was always the most awesome thing ever. Since my parent's were divorced it meant that I got TWO Christmases and both were a huge deal.
But now everyone who connected me to Mom's side o the family is dead and those on my Father's side have moved away and have their own families. It's such a shock. Suddenly Christmas day means almost nothing and I have no idea what to do with myself.

My dad always goes to the Dominican republic every Christmas to spend time with his family. But I always choose to stay home with my mom and brother probably cuz it feels more Christmas with the snow, and we do fun things with the family on my moms side.
