Bleach Blu Ray remastered

Does it says there anywhere if they are going to be 4:3 or 16:9? It would be a total shame if they cut the episodes like on the TV revival. It would totally suck.

These are selected episodes, not seasonal. They are trying to eliminate fillers/extras and without actually watching it, it's very difficult to guess what the cuts, edits and presentation is going to be or would it just be episodes copy + paste.

I have made a little chart for clarity:

I have watched the earlier DVD sets, German and American. The episodes are not cut in any way. I don't think that changed later. No filler episodes or scenes have been removed.

I know, but I think the word "cut" is causing confusion. The confusion actually is whether these blurays would include as-it-is mixed material just like episode cuts because some episodes are mixed in original story. For example, the mod soul characters are present in filler + original and because these upcoming boxes are meant to cover only the original content, it's difficult to guess what they would include as canon or not. That's what I meant by my "copy and paste".

In other words, the confusion is that whether they would have an approach like "Bleach Kai" or not.

Really Interesting!!! So it is not an actual BD release, with the remaining episodes being released later! This is fillerless Bleach. Has this been confirmed at all? Bleach Kai, then!

It is blu-ray HD remastered. Yes, it's confirmed to be fillerless BLEACH, but it's not sure if it's like BLEACH Kai or not because it's not sure the hybrid episodes are presented as-it-is or contain special cuts. That's why I did the maths of per episode time which makes me lean towards that it's not going to be BLEACH Kai like because they (BLEACH Kai) have edited the content to present it differently such as eliminated stretchy content for instance besides removing filling content. However, it is confirmed that the boxes would only represent original story which I mentioned in "Included Story" row. It can also be interpreted as "Story Covered".

In short, the confirmed thing is that it would not contain extra/filler episodes. The only confusion (in my mind) is the presentation of mixed episodes.

I agree. For me, the most important episode is 342, which is filler, but the ending has one of the most important scenes in canon. I calculated the total amount of canon episodes and they are 202 (including mixed episodes), i am betting the missing episode to make the total 203 episodes they are announcing in their release corresponds to episode 342. That way they could release the 203 episodes without needing to do any cuts.

Having Ririn and the other mod souls is inconsequential, to be honest.

That's true. That scene is legendary and emotional classic. That's why I was wondering about re-edits/cuts and my view is that they should do that instead of as-it-is. About 203 episodes, it's based by totalling episodes from the individual boxes, not the whole. For that episode (342), it would have to be included (if it is to be included) in Box 3 and that box would have 74 episodes of story selected from Arrancar [2nd Half] and Lost Substitute Shinigami.

Assuming Arrancar [2nd Half] starts on episode 215 because The Past Story (Pendulum) is in Box 2 mentioned, my estimation would be the episodes in that box (3) would be from:

215-226, 267-286, 288-297, 300-302, 306-310, 342-354, 356, 343-354, 356-366
= 74 episodes [#266 discarded, #342 added]

OR

215-226, 266-286, 288-297, 300-302, 306-310, 343-354, 356, 343-354, 356-366
= 74 episodes [#266 added, #342 discarded]

That's why I say it would be weird to include the episodes content as-it-is instead of doing special edits and cuts to have all the original contents from mixed ones instead of simply eliminating/discarding. That's the confusion I have.

I agree about the mod souls, but they fought with Grand Fisher who is the original. Yes, I agree they are not that significant, but they can cause a confusion for those who are first time viewing it wondering where these characters came from. Later, in TYBW, the mod-soul idea relates to the canon even though the first idea was related to Kon story in The Substitute Shinigami. I was saying that from first-time watchers' perspective. Of course, most veteran fans would not care about it.

I believe 266 Will be totally discarded. We don't need a recap episode. That's Just wasted space on the box. I am truly excited for this box. Hope it actually has decent quality.

It's a recap but includes some new original content. If 342 is showed full, then it would give away the past filler story. So they both have to be edited. Otherwise, I don't think eliminating either of the original content from these twos or from some other episodes would make any sense.

The Japanese site (https://books.rakuten.co.jp/rb/17208418/?scid=af_pc_etc&sc2id=af_101_0_0) says:

内容紹介

アニメ『BLEACH』の人気シリーズが、HDリマスターにより初のBlu-ray Disc化!

「破面(アランカル)にまつわるエピソード後半を中心に抜粋し、「死神代行消失篇」も含め計74話を収録。

which roughly translates to:

"Content introduction
The anime series "BLEACH" is made into a Blu-ray Disc for the first time by HD remastering!
Excerpts centered on the latter half of the episodes related to Arrancar, and a total of 74 episodes including Lost Substitute Shinigami ".

This clears some things, but not all. First, it's a new remastering from the source (I think so based on what is being said). Second, the excerpts are added from the mentioned stories. So would it mean that it would be a new presentation style with the new editing involved? I can only hope so. That's the confusion. Maybe the episodes are newly re-numbered with the new art style and new backgrounds. There is so much mystery.

We would get more information soon. So far, the new box arts have not been revealed yet. They are in the printing process. Also, Aniplex would be too silly to promote eliminated original content instead of editing it out. I also have a feeling when Aniplex would be done with the boxes, VIZ would follow suit.
